The 32nd auspicious birthday of Crown Prince Paras is being celebrated throughout the Kingdom Monday by organizing various programmes. Crown Prince was born on December 30, 1971 in Kathmandu. He received his early education in St. Joseph’s College, North Point, Darjeeling in India
and Budhanilkantha school Kathmandu.

Thereafter he went to the United Kingdom to pursue an undergraduate programme in Business Administration from Schiller International University. On January 25, 2000, at the age of 29, he was married to Crown Princess Himani Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah.
Their first child was daughter Princess Purnika, born on December 11, 2000. Two years later, on July 30, 2002 their second child, a son, was born, Navayuvaraj Hridayendra. Almost a year before he was blessed with a son, he was proclaimed Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Nepal on October 26, 2001.
He has on several occasions taken commendable responsibilities both in and out of the Kingdom. He is currently the chairman of the King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation, and prior to this, had held the post of coordinator of the Zoological Development Committee.
The Crown Prince is particularly fond of horse riding, listening to music and has profound interest in composing poetry.
