Chief of the Army Staff General Pyar Jung Thapa returned home Tuesday upon completing his seven-day official visit to India at the friendly invitation of Chief of the Army Staff of India S.Padmanavan.

A contingent of the Royal Nepal Army presented a guard of honour to General Thapa at the Tribhuvan International Airport. The Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Kathmandu based foreign military attaches, and high-ranking officers of the Royal Nepal Army were also present on the occasion.
