APF paid off satisfactorily in the 15th minute through Mani Pundit after missing some early goal scoring chances. Mani Pundit scored in a rebound shot after Prakash Karki’s shot was half cleared by former NTSC reserve goalie Manohari Maharjan. JYC, who didn’t field its first string side due to unavailability, held nerves of Dhruba KC’s team on several occasions, but the rookies seemed inexperience in the show.

The APF continued its rampage and were rewarded in the 37th minute through hot signing Santosh Shahukhala. Shahukhala latched on the ball and made a brilliant move with his nimble footwork before firing home the 2nd goal. Earlier, Mani Pundit came close to a goal but his excellent effort was denied by Sanoj Shrestha from the goal line.

JYC finally got a breakthrough in the 44th minute through Ishowr Shrestha, who was fielded in the 30th minute. Shrestha scored brilliantly which kept new signing goalie Min Basnet (former Mahabir goalie) completely stranded.

The half time break charged APF and the dominating show continued. Sunil Subedi, who is another hot signing of the APF, entered the ground replacing Santosh Shahukhala in the 61st minute, but he played a below par performance. Former U-23 player Ganesh Lawati, who scored the lone goal against Palestine in the 2003 Olympics qualifying, got off the mark in the 64th minute utilizing the pin-point pass from Man Sajan Rajbhandari.

Then, national U-23 mid fielder Man Sajan Rajbhandari was involved again to make the score 4-1, when he scored brilliantly through a volley shot. Mani Pundit completed the rout in the 79th minute with perfect accuracy.

Nabil Three Star Club will take on arch-rivals Mahendra Police Club on Wednesday.
