Amrit Kumar Bohra has been appointed acting general secretary of the UML, the main opposition in parliament, ahead of Madhav Kumar Nepal’s visit to Cuba from December 4 to 7, party sources said.

The UML standing committee appointed Bohra who is chief of the party’s organization department. Bohra was appointed the acting chief by-passing K.P.Oli who is deputy leader of the main opposition in parliament.

Nepal is going to Cuba to attend the 10th meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum. Nepal and Oli have had policy differences in the past.
