Kathmandu, June 19: As stipulated by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) some airports of the country have been equipped with fire extinguishers and security facilities since May/June.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, out of the International and domestic airports in the country, the ones in Nepalgunj, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa and Pokhara and Tribhuvan International Airport have been equipped with such facilities.
Likewise, some safety equipment have been installed in Lamidanda, Bhojpur, Tumlingtar, Phaplu, Rumjatar, Bajhang, Bajura, Sanfebagar, Jumla, Simikot, Chaurjahari and Dopla Airports.
The equipment will be installed in Lukla, Jomsom and Bhadrapur Airports also in the current fiscal year.
