Cosmic Air suspended its flights to Bharatpur Saturday indefinitely after damage to the airport that was repaired only last year with a loan from the Asian Development Bank.

Cosmic Air suspended operations complaining of potholes along the runway making landings and takeoff dangerous, airline officials said. Recent heavy rains and shabby repairs have created potholes, reports said. The airport services Chitwan where the Royal Chitwan National Park lies.

Shangri-La Air earlier stopped its flights to the airport. Only the two airlines were servicing the airport.
