Air Sahara, a private Indian airline, has announced to resume its flights to Kathmandu from August 12.
According to Joy Devan, managing director of Zenith Travels, general sales agent of Air Sahara, the Air Sahara flights which, as per earlier announcement by the company, were scheduled to resume from September 1, are being pre-poned on account of ‘growing demand of service’.
“Growing demands made us pre-pone the resumption date,” Dewan told Nepalnews Sunday. Four flights a week will be conducted in Kathmandu-New Delhi route from August 12 while daily flights will be conducted from September, he informed.
Air Sahara had cancelled its flights in March owing to the difficult political situation in Nepal after the Feb 1 royal move as well as the “drop in the number tourists” to Nepal.
The airline had launched flights to Kathmandu in September 2004.
