Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has said an agreement would be reached with the Maoists on modalities of arms management in the next few days.

Talking to some dozens of district committee presidents of the party at the prime minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning, Koirala said once the agreement is reached on the modalities of arms management of the Maoists, the peace talks would reach a conclusion.

On the occasion, district presidents drew the attention of the party president Koirala regarding the continuing attack and atrocities by the Maoist activists on the Nepali Congress cadres.

Koirala assured that the issue would be raised during the talks with the Maoist leadership.

PM Koirala also directed the district committee presidents to go to the villages with the party’s message to the people and get prepared for constituent assembly elections.
