Hetauda, Mar. 24: CPN-UML standing committee member and ex-minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari says sincerity of His Majesty Government is now essential to keep the administrative machinery impartial and dynamic and to speedily resolve the problems of the common man.
Addressing a “nation-wide” protest rally held here by CPN-UML central committee Thursday, Mr Adhikari said all political parties, regardless of their partisan interest, should join forces in strengthening parliamentary democracy in view of growing political instability and chaotic situation in the country today.
On the occasion, mp krishna Prasad Dahal said, “the poor people are finding it difficult to make both ends meet because of soaring market prices, corruption and anarchism.”
“Now it is time for the government to act in order to guarantee security for the people’s life and property,” Dahal added.
Makawanpur district development committee vice chairman Badri Prasad Lamsal and district development committee member Ananta Poudel suggested that the Nepali Congress Government should forge ahead seeking co-operation of the chief opposition party in guaranteeing peace and security and in controlling corruption and price hike in the country.
CPN-UML district unit secretary Raghunath Khulal presided over the meeting.
The rally went around the town and converged to the mass meeting at Mahendrachowk.
The party workers staged sit-in as part of the protest programme at the district education office, revenue office and Agricultural Development Bank Hetauda office Thursday.
