ADB, Denmark to investment in secondary education

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Denmark will lend Nepal Rs.2330 million for the development of secondary education in the Kingdom, the Finance Ministry said.

The bank and Denmark will contribute 80 percent of the project’s total cost and the rest will be borne by the government. Part of the money will be spent to train teachers and bring in deprived children and girls into the formal education network.

Finance Secretary Bhanu Prasad Acharya and ADB Country Director Dr. Richard Volkes signed the agreement.
