In yet another incident of star-crossed lover turning violent, two police personnel have been found dead at Manamaiju village development committee at the outskirts of capital, Kathmandu, on Sunday morning.
According to reports, bodies of police constables Shiva Ram Khanal and Sumitra Bhandari was found this morning. According to preliminary investigation, Khanal is believed to have shot dead his fiancée, Bhandari, in the wake of some dispute and later committed suicide.
Both have got bullet wounds in their temples, according to police. Police recovered the pistol used by Khanal.
The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. on Sunday. According to police, Khanal died on the spot, while Bhandari died while being taken to Bir hospital for treatment.
Police said an investigation was underway.
On Friday, 23-year-old Tikaram Tamang fatally attacked and killed 19-year-old Sirjana Tamang while she was sitting at a café at Nayabazar in the capital. Both of them came from Dhuwakot VDC, Dhading district, and were said to be in love for past sometime.
Police said they have launched a manhunt to nab Tikaram Tamang who is absconding since the murder.
