The Indian Embassy team defeated the Nepali media team by seven wickets in the 5th Annual friendly cricket match held at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu on Sunday.

AP Bhatt of the winning team was declared Man of the Match and Diwakar Gyawali of Nepali Media Team was declared Best Batsman. Similarly, SK Thakur of Embassy of India Team was declared the Best Bowler for taking three wickets for 29 runs.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Shiva Shankar Mukharjee distributed prizes to the winners of the match.

Two officiating umpires Vinay Kumar Jha and Raman Siwakoti, commentator Sanjeeb Lama and the scorers P Gopalakrishnan and PS Rawat were thanked for their contribution to the match.

“The match brought out and reinforced the spirit of friendliness and camaraderie between Embassy of India and the Nepali Media,” states a press release issued by Indian Embassy.
