United World Trade Centre starts operation

United World Trade Centre (UWTC), said to be the largest business complex in the country, started its operation from Saturday marking the Nepali New Year.

Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat inaugurated the operation of the business complex amidst a function organised on Saturday. United Builders and Engineers constructed the business complex with a total investment of Rs 500 million at Tripureshwor in a leased-land owned by Tribhuvan University (TU). The TU has given the land on lease for 22 years. The complex is spread over 5,596.11 square meters.

The complex provides a number of services like department stores, cyber café, party palace, health club, and heated swimming pool.

Addressing the inaugural function, Minister Mahat pointed out the need to make Nepal a shopping paradise of the region.
