Two factions of Nepal Sadbhavana Party (NSP) – which were split four years ago – are preparing to unite as soon as possible.
The NSP factions – one led by Anandidevi Singh and another led by Laxman Lal Karna – have claimed that unity process has come to final phase. The NSP leaders have claimed that the unity was being forged in order to bring together all pro-Madhesi forces.
“The unity process is moving rapidly,” said Laxman Lal Karna, acting chairman of NSP, told Kantipur. He claimed that the unity would come to fruition before the deadline for registering party at the Election Commission scheduled for April 27.
Rajendra Mahato, general secretary of NSP (Anandidevi) and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, also informed that the unity would materialise in a few days.
Karna even added that they were urging Upendra Yadav also to join the united Sadbhavana instead of running the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF).
