16 inmates of the central jail at Tripureshwore were injured in a clash this morning.

According to reports, the inmates clashed over a row over changing the leader of the prisoners.

The two sides, one favouring the change and the other against it, clashed leaving 16 prisoners injured.

However some reports quoted injured inmates as saying that the incident occurred when the leader misbehaved with the inmates favouring the change after consuming alcohol.

All injured prisoners are undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
