Indian Ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee has said that the decision of eight political parties [ruling seven party alliance and the Maoist] of Nepal will be acceptable to India.

During his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Amik Sherchan this morning, the Indian envoy also welcomed the promulgation of interim constitution by the new legislature.
Issuing a press statement on Monday, the Indian foreign ministry had welcomed the promulgation of the interim constitution and the formation of the interim legislature in Nepal.
Mukharjee however said that it would be appropriate to form the new interim government incorporating Maoists only after arms management.
Stating that Nepal has entered a new era after promulgation of the interim constitution, the Indian envoy also said that the decision of eight political parties would lead Nepal towards peace and stability, reports said.
He also assured that India would provide assistance to Nepal to all possible extent.
