At least three persons died and 16 others injured in separate road accidents on Sunday.

Two passengers were killed when a bus (Na-3-Kha 350) on its way to Kathmandu from Tikapur, Kailali district, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge 20 meters down at Imilia of Kapilvastu district this morning. 14 passengers traveling on the bus were injured in the accident that occurred at around 4:00 am, according to reports.

Three critically injured passengers have been undergoing treatment at a local hospital while one person has been brought to Kathmandu for treatment. Reports quoted a passenger as saying that the bus slipped off the road as the driver was dozing off.

In another accident, a patient was killed when an ambulance met with an accident at Gauribas, Sundhuli district. The driver of the ambulance (Ja-1-Cha 568), which was heading for the Janakpur Zonal Hospital, and another person were injured in the accident.
