As the country is moving towards peace and stability after bringing Maoists into mainstream of politics, the Coalition for National Unity and Reconciliation in Nepal, a US based organization of Nepali people has demanded resignation of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.
Stating that Koirala came to power from undemocratic way, the coalition said, Koirala’s actions, instead of leading the country towards a genuine democracy, cooperation, peace, security, and stability have created fertile ground for more chaos, confrontation and violence.
The coalition also demanded formation of an independent judicial inquiry commission to look into the massive abuse of power and corruption that took place during previous administrations.
The coalition also demanded formation of an independent government to hold the free and fair parliamentary elections at the earliest as established by the 1990 Constitution.
The coalition also organized a protest rally against present government in New York.
