People of Surkhet of mid western district overjoyed by the performance of Netpathya, the premier folk, rock band of the country.

People of Surkhet district, who were badly hit by the decade long insurgency became very happy to see the performance of Nepathya, at the open ground of Nepal Rastriya (Proposed) Secondary School on Thursday.

According to organizers, nearly three thousand people had participated in the show.

There was special provision for the physically challenged people during the show, not to deprive them from participating in the musical show of Nepathya.

Locals of the district said that this is the first grand show in the district after 2001.

The Nepathya team consisting 45 members, which is on a 40-day long nationwide musical tour with a banner “Shantiko Lagi Sikchya” (Education for Peace) since December 21, left for Sandikharka of Arghakanchi district after Surkhet.

According to organizers, during the 40 days tour Nepathya is scheduled to perform in 15 places, 5 of which will be open-air shows and the rest is indoor shows.

After Sandhikharka, Nepathya will then tour to Tamghas, Pokhara and Besishar in the west. It is scheduled to further travel to Trisuli Bazaar and Jiri before concluding in Kathmandu on the 31st of January.
