Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a three-day national meet of its district presidents from May 4th to seek their views on monarchy.

Monday’s informal meeting of the party held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, decided to organise the national meet to determine the party’s position on key political issues including monarchy.

Today’s meeting also decided the political agenda to be presented by the Central Working Committee.

Parliamentarians, central committee members and chairmen of sister organisations of the party will also participate in the three-day meet.

The central working committee of the party will decide party’s official stance regarding monarchy based on the proposals submitted by the district chairmen after the meeting.

The NC has been facing criticism for not making its view public about monarchy.
