Government employees protesting in front of the Ministry of General Administration inside Singha Durbar urging the immediate implementation of the new Civil Service Act, Friday, May 25 07. nepalnews.com/rh
Demanding that the Civil Service Act be ratified immediately, civil servants have halted all work and announced fresh protest programmes from today onwards.

The Civil Service Employees Association, Civil Servants’ Union and National Civil Servants’ Association had announced the beginning of the new phase of their protest programme by calling a joint press conference Thursday.

Irked by non-ratification of civil service act even a year after the cancellation of the civil service ordinance, the civil servants had started to organise phasewise protest program from last week.
