The meeting of the central committee of the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) on Wednesday is expected to nominate a coordinator for organising the general convention of the party.

The meeting, which will begin from 2 pm at party headquarter in Balkhu, will dissolve the central and standing committee and form a committee to organise the eighth general convention later this year.

Reports say a tough contest is on between acting general secretary Amrit Kumar Bohara and Jhalnath Khanal for the post of coordinator of the organising committee.
