A year after the success of the People’s Movement II which reinstated democracy in the country, the government has decided to give 33 percent concession on transportation fares to the people injured during it.

This decision of the government was meant to honour those injured during last year’s agitation. As per the decision, all kinds of public transportation including buses, taxis and tempos have to compulsorily give 33 percent concession on fares to the injured of People’s Movement II.

Some 489 people were injured during last year’s agitation to restore people’s rule in the country.
