NRNA Cyprus reorganised under Thebe’s leadership

The recently concluded convention of the Non Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) in Cyprus reorganised its national coordination committee.

The newly elected national committee is headed by Mani Raj Thebe. Man Bahadur Gurung and Khagendra Bhetwal have been elected as the vice presidents, Ganesh Upreti as national coordinator, Manika Ghising as vice coordinator and Ranjit Mahato as the treasurer of the new committee.

Speaking after being elected as president, Thebe said the NRNA-Cyprus would work towards safeguarding the rights of the Nepalis living in Cyprus and extend help to build Nepal.

In his message to the convention, NRNA International Coordination Committee (ICC) president Dr Upendra Mahato asked the Nepalis in Cyprus to work for welfare of the motherland.

Over 150 Nepalis attended the convention including NRNA ICC vice president Ram Pratap Thapa, NRNA ICC Cyprus representative Niraj Govinda Shrestha, NRNA ICC Russia representative Jiwa Lamichhane, president of the Nepali Friendship Society in Cyprus Mahesh Lama and coordinators of the NRNA Germany and Russia national committees Dr Kedar Pradhan and Dr Mani Raj Pokhrel respectively.
