A General Meeting of the Britain-Nepal Academic Council (BNAC) held on Thursday at SOAS, University of London, has re-elected Professor Dr Surya P. Subedi, O.B.E., of the University of Leeds and Barrister in England as its Chairman for a further period of four years. The meeting also re-elected Professor David Gellner of the University of Oxford as the General Secretary and Professor and Dean Michael Hutt of SOAS, University of London, as the Treasurer.

The meeting reconstituted and expanded the Executive Committee of the Council consisting of the following persons: Professor Anthony Costello, Professor of Health Studies of UCL, University of London, Dr Ian Harper of the University of Edinburgh, Dr Judith Pettigrew of the University of Limerick, Dr Ben Campbell of the University of Durham, Dr Sandra Hausner of the University of Oxford, Dr Krishna Adhikari of the Centre for Nepal Studies UK and Ms Mara Malagodi, a doctoral scholar at SOAS, University of London, as the student representative.
