PM avoiding regular engagements after health problem

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has been avoiding his regular engagements since last few days due to bad health.

Koirala is suffering from chest pain since Wednesday evening and is receiving treatment at his official residence in Baluwatar. Apart from his personal physicians, a team of four doctors including Dr Man Bahadur KC and Dr Jagdish Agrawal has been attending the Prime Minister, according to Baluwatar sources.

Though he has been strictly advised against returning to his job routine for some time, his condition is said to be normal. He complained of chest pain since Wednesday evening, soon after participating in a reception organised in the honour of the business community in Baluwatar.

There was no official information regarding the Prime Minister’s health.

Koirala’s health has been a matter of national concern after had to avoid several crucial political meetings due to frail health.

Few months earlier, he had had been hospitalised for nine days after complaints of chest infection.
