The search and rescue mission launched to rescue the missing herb collectors in Tyangtyange lake in Dolpa district has completed after the mission led by Nepali Army (NA) located 16 dead bodies from the site and handed them over to concerned families through police.

The rescue mission was started after dozens of villagers of Sharmi VDC went missing since May 26 following snow storm in the area where they were collecting Yarshagumba – herb that fetches them handsome income.
According to a press release by NA, the rescue team of 40 members including security personnel, health workers and local guides located dead bodies on June 1.
“Following the completion of the rescue mission, the team also handed over foodstuff and medicines to the people living nearby the area,” the release adds.
