Comedian duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya, famously known as MaHa, performed their first show in San Francisco in the USA on June 17.
The performance of two comedy episodes Shraddha and Abhinandan vividly narrated concerns for the greater good of Nepalis. Mani Ratna Kansakar and Pooja Chand had joined the Maha jodi in the episodes while folk singer Prem Raja Mahat mesmerized the audience with his old classics including “Sim Sime Pani Ma” with actress Chand.
One of the main organizers of the MaHa Evening in San Francisco, Anil Pandey, president of Motherland Nepal, a non profit organization, said, “The goal of the tour is to raise funds and create awareness about missions and achievements of Help Nepal Network (HeNN), Motherland, and other local associations. The non-profit organizations are trying their best to contribute and have significant impacts on the needy communities.”
MaHa also performed in Denver on June 24 and Dallas on June 25. The show will continue in Boston on July 1, New York on July 8, Washington DC on July 15, and Baltimore on July 16.
MaHa along with Mani Ratna Kansakar, Kiran KC, Prem Raja Mahat, Pooja Chand, Meera Acharya and Yaman Shrestha are in US tour to raise funds for HeNN, a global charity run by Nepalese living in different parts of the world.
The fund raised from the show would be spent a 13-bed health post in a remote Haripurwa village in Sarlahi district with the estimated cost of US$ 25,000.
