The Thai PM expressed hope that peace and stability would be restored in Nepal soon and expressed readiness to assist Nepal in this direction. He also praised Koirala’s leadership in the successful people’s movement.

During the meeting, the two prime ministers also agreed to cooperate in promoting Thai investment in Nepal’s tourism sector, the MoFA further said.

Meanwhile, PM Koirala went to the Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok in the evening for final checkup of his health. State-owned Radio Nepal said that doctors at the hospital told Koirala that his health condition was satisfactory.

Koirala had undergone a successful operation of prostrate gland, through laser, on Wednesday morning and was discharged from the hospital the next day.

He had left for Bangkok for health checkup on June 17 and is scheduled to return home on Tuesday.
