International communities positive about latest development: DPM Oli

Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) KP Sharma Oli, who also holds the foreign portfolio, has said that international communities are in favour of peace and stability in Nepal.

Talking to journalists at Tribhuvan International Airport, upon returning home after participating in the first Session of the UN Human Rights Council held in Geneva, DPM Oli said that international communities have hailed Nepal’s decision to move towards peace and democracy.

He further said that he assured the United Nations to send details about Maoist militia and Maoist armies.

DPM Oli, who held discussion with the UN general secretary Kofi Annan during the sideline of the meeting of the Human Rights Council, informed that UN general secretary assured him to initiate immediate effort for the release of all 12 Nepali peacekeepers abducted in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Oli further informed that his talks with ministers of various counties was very fruitful, adding, it helped to improve Nepal’s image in the international level.
