Four Nepalis arrested by Indian police from the border area of Bahraich and Shravasti districts of India on May 25, last year in possession of illicit drugs have been jailed, reports say.
The Bahraich court has slapped varying jail terms to Sunita Rai and Jeewan Gharti of Dang and Uma Seri and Chandra Thapa of Rolpa.
Rai found in possession of 2.2 kg heroin is fined 150,000 and slapped a jail-term of 14 years and Seri found in possession of 1.5 kg heroin is fined 100,000 and slapped a jail-term of 12 years.
