Home Minister and coordinator of the government talks team Krishna Sitaula has said that the rescheduled summit talks of October 8 will resolve all outstanding issues.

“The October 8 summit talks will give the solution in totality,” he told reporters after meeting with the Maoist talks team in the Thursday afternoon.

Saying that the informal meeting between the Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and Maoist chairman Prachanda had helped the peace process, Sitaula added that his talks with the Maoist team went ahead ‘positively.’

“Our attempts are continuing and have moved in positive manner. We decided to hold the summit meeting immediately after Dashain festival in order to have serious deliberations,” said Krishna Bahadur Mahara, spokesperson of the Maoists.
