After neglecting ladies football for a long time, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has finally decided to organize the First Ladies Football Tournament at the Dasrath Stadium from October 8 in Kathmandu.
According to press release issued by ANFA, a total of 23 teams including 22 districts and one from Armed Police Force Officers’ Club will take part in the championship.
The ANFA also informed that the preliminary selection of the district teams has already started. The participating districts are Ilam, Panchthar, Dhankutta, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhanusa, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, Chiwan, Makwanpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kavre, Nawalparasi, Rupendehi, Kaski, Syangja, Banke, Kailali and Kanchanpur.
The ANFA will invest Rs 1.2 million for this competition.
