Hindu Vidyapeeth Nepal (HVP) organised an international youth conference for peace with the theme of “Deepening our Spirituality” in the capital.
The conference began on September 23 with peace prayers by the priests and leaders of different faiths including Hindus, Buddhists, Islam, Christians, Bahai and Jews.
“We always say that Buddha was born in Nepal, but to really prove it, we need to organize these sorts of programmes”, Dr. Chinta Mani Yogi, Founder Principal of Hindu Vidyapeeeth Nepal said while addressing the inaugural session of the conference.
Dr. Nina Meyerholf, Founder President of Children of the Earth, the co-organiser of the conference expressed her wish to organize similar programmes in the future too.
20 international youths, 5 spiritual elders and 50 Nepali youths representing 20 organizations are taking part in the conference.
The conference focuses on deepening human spirituality, exploring aspects of consciousness through different religions, faiths and ways of lives.
The programme will end on September 28.
