Those injured during the April people’s movement of the country have started an indefinite relay hunger strike in the capital from Sunday.
They are demanding equal treatment to all the injured in course of the popular agitation.
The strike is also aimed at pressuring the seven party alliance and the Maoists to stick to all the accords and ceasefire code of conduct to pave the way for early constituent assembly elections.
The freedom fighters are also asking the government to make public whereabouts of those missing since the April movement.
More than 15 persons participated in the first day of the strike, which is being staged at Maitighar Mandala.
The injured freedom fighters have had been staging different types of pressure campaigns.
25 people were killed and thousands injured during the pro-democracy movement of the country.
The government declared compensation to the injured people, whose both the eyes or both legs and arms were damaged in the agitation.
