The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has registered charge sheets against five persons working in civil service and corporations in Special Court in the charge of presenting fake certificates for the purpose of entering into service and promotion.
A press release issued by the CIAA said, staffs being alleged are Office Assistant (Level 4) Basanta Kumar Regmi of the Timber Corporation, Govinda Dhami (Level 5) of Nepal Electricity Authority, women worker Sita Dawadi of Agriculture Development Bank, senior assistant Lalbahadur Bishwokarma of Nepal Oil Corporation and plate maker Parbati Thapa of Department of Printing.
If found guilty, they will face detention of six month to one year and a fine of 10,000 to 20,000 as per the Corruption Control Act.
If found guilty they will be fired from their service and will also be deprived from facilities to be received after retirement.
CIAA has registered cases against 327 employees alleging to have presented fake certificates for the purposes of entering into services and promotions until Oct. 30.
CIAA has also registered cases against four persons in Special Court alleging to have evaded tax while transferring ownership of vehicles illegally and bad-intentionally.
People being alleged are then head of Transport Management Office, Abdul Rais Khan, kharidar (Junior employee) Harisaran Phuyanl, Rishiram Kharel of Dayanagar, Rupandehi, Dayaram Yadav of Balarampur, and Krishna Raj Poudel.
