The civil service is giving final touches to the ten-year vision paper to reform the bureaucracy in tune with the demands of changing time.

A gathering of secretaries, former secretaries and senior government officials was held at Godavari on Saturday to discuss about the reform needs.

“At present, we face accusations of non-performance, excessive emphasis on process and over politicizations. There may be some truths in these accusations. In order to free ourselves from these accusations and usher in professional development, reforms are needed,” Bhoj Raj Ghimire, chief secretary of the government told journalists.

The civil service is working to prepare the 10-year vision paper as per the instruction of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, it is reported.
