Maoist chairman Prachanda said that he wants to make Nepal the most developed country in South Asia within ten years.

“If everybody unites, we can embrace the great roadmap of the people,” he said addressing a meeting of Republican Film Workers’ Front in the capital on Monday.

Prachanda said, “The time has come to create a new Nepal, which will be most beautiful.” He said that problems faced by film workers – artistes and makers – were a part of problems faced by the whole society.

Meanwhile, at a press meet organized by the Maoists on Monday, party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara informed that Prachanda will be addressing the mass meeting to be organized at Tundikhel on Friday (November 10). According to him, this will be the historic mass meeting since Prachanda is giving a public address after 25 years.

Likewise, the second national convention of Newa National Liberation Front (NNLF) has been postponed. According to Pawan Man Shrestha, chief of the front, the convention has been postponed from November 10-12 to February 9-11 due to technical reasons.
