The government has appointed Rewat Bahadur Karki to the post of General Manager of Nepal Stock Exchange, the only secondary market of the country.

According to Nepal Stock Exchange, he was appointed as per the decision taken on July 3 by the council of ministers for a tenure of two years.

According to Nepal Stock Exchange, Karki, who is a former first class officer of Nepal Rastra Bank had already worked as a Board of Director of the Exchange Limited.

He had worked as Executive Director of Mid-Western Rural Development Bank, as Economist of the Central Bank of Namibia and as Advisor of the International Monetary Fund.
