In another broad daylight robbery in the capital, a group of armed robbers looted property worth 2.5 million rupees from Continental Marketing Private Limited on Friday morning.
A group of four people looted cash worth over two million rupees and gold ornaments and mobile sets from the employees and customers of the office.
Talking to Nepalnews, Rajesh Upadhaya, Managing Director of the company, said that the incident occurred at around 11.40 Friday morning.
He said that four people, who came to the office, took all staff under control at gunpoint and looted the money and property. The robbers disconnected the telephone lines before the incident.
The office is located in the fourth floor of a building. There was no provision of security guards in the office and no provision of checking at the main entrance of the building.
A group of armed looters looted Nabil Bank’s Jorpati branch on May 31 and Nepal Bank Limited’s branch office in Chhetrapati, May 28.
There has been rise in the incidents of robbery in the capital and other parts of the country in recent days.
