Former RONAST VC Amatya passes away

Former Vice Chancellor of RONAST(now known as Nepal Academy of Science and Technology), Dr. Dhruva Man Amatya, passed away on Thursday at the age of 74. A Ph. D. in Chemistry from the United Kingdom, Dr. Amatya was a science department professor at Tribhuvan University for a long time.

Science scholar Amatya also translated the Gita into English in simple verses. He is survived by two sons. He was also the former member of the National Planning Commission.

Dr. Amatya’s body was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat, Thursday night, according to his family members.
