On his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Senga said the ADB was committed to continue its financial assistance to Nepal in the changed political scenario.
The ADB representative also welcomed the ‘pro-poor’ budget presented by the government few weeks earlier and said the bank’s involvement in the Melamchi Drinking Water would continue despite the minor hurdles in the construction process.
ADB’s Nepal representative Dr Hafiz Rahman had last week said the giant water supply project could be at risk if disruptions continued.
Senga’s arrival to Kathmandu coincided with the visit of Chinese vice foreign minister, Wu Tawei, and head of the United Nations mission, Staffan de Mistura.
