The Kathmandu District Court on Thursday released two Pakistani nationals, who were arrested in connection with a five-year old RDX case on Rs 50,000 bail each.

Ghulam Hussein Chima, 53, of Lahore and Aftab Muhauddin Siddhique, 56, of Karachi, were arrested by Nepal Police from room number 703 of the Everest Hotel, a day after series of blasts in the Indian city of Mumbai in which about 200 people were killed.

Police had seized 16 kg of RDX from their rented room at New Baneswor in Kathmandu on April 11, 2001.

The Court had permitted the police to detain them for five days at first and later extended their custody by seven more days for investigation.
