ADB announces technical assistance worth 40.19 million rupees

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Friday announced an aid package of 40.19 million rupees in the form of technical assistance to the government of Nepal, which will go into the formulation of women empowerment programme.

The grant assistance is being made available to Nepal from the special fund of the government of Japan, the Ministry of Finance said.

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed and exchanged between the ADB officials and the officials of the Finance Ministry today.

Finance Secretary Bimal Prasad Koirala and ADB country director for Nepal Richard Vokes signed the MOU at the Finance Ministry.
