Kathmandu,Aug.28: Rs.125,000 in Indian currency notes two feuding brothers stashed away in a tin box literally went up in flames three years later.

Ram Kumar Mahato and Ram Balak Mahato, who hail from Matahini in Mohottari district, each padlocked the box with the money and jewellery after a dispute following the death of their father.

To their surprise, the box was empty when they opened it three years later following an agreement to settle a dispute over ancestral property. Moths had eaten up the currency notes.
