Kailali’s Bhandari adjudged best player

Kathmandu, March: Kailali’s striker Chandra Bhandari was adjudged the most outstanding player of the WFC-Mangala Devi Soccer League after the completion of the final match. The free scoring ace striker was awarded two thousand rupees and a certificate for the Best Player of the tournament.

The Kailali girls won two more awards. Captain Mamta C.K. was adjudged  the best defender while Madhu Thapa won the best midfielder’s prize. Both were given two thousand rupees each in prizes and certificates Meanwhile,   MPC’s Leela Thapa, who did not concede a single goal during the whole tournament, was awarded with best keeper’s prize and won two thousand rupees. Her team-mates, forwards Shaukar Rai and Pema Lama were jointly awarded best scorers of the tournament. Both of them scored six goals each and won one thousand rupees respectively.
