Baitadi, Mar. 16: CPN-UML Standing Committee member and its organisation department chief Amrit Kumar Bohara inaugurated the third Baitadi district convention of the party at Dasharath Chand memorial building other day.

On the occasion he called upon the people to be well-organised themselves to protect and consolidate the rights they obtained after the historic popular movement of 2046 BS. As well as to bring radical changes in the country.

Alternate  member of the party central committee Urba Datta Pant and representatives of other political parties and people’s organisations wished the convention a success.

The convention elected a 19-member district committee with Damodar Bhandari as its secretary.

Meanwhile in Pokhara, lawmaker Kashinath Adhikari, initiating a district level party workers gathering organised by the CPN-UML Kaski district unit said that a movement against price hikes is the demand of the people.

Some 150 office bearers representing local bodies and different party units took part in the gathering.

The gathering chaired by CPN-UML Kaski district secretary Somnath Adhikari Pyasi held discussion on matters including the current political situation and the formation of a mobilisation committee.

Similarly in Charikot, a four-day training programme held by the CPN-UML Dolakha district committee concluded recently.

Central member of the CPN-UML Yubraj Karki, MP Pashupati Choulagain, member of the CPN-UML Dolakha Gopal Nyoupane, Dolakha DDC president Lal Kumar K.C. and MP ananda Pokharel imparted training to the participants.

Altogether 40  party workers took part in the training.

Likewise in Dhading, the 6th district conference of all Nepal National Independent Students Union Dhading has elected unopposed a 15-member working committee under the chairmanship of Dhan Bahadur Thapa.

D.P. Simkhada has been chosen vice chairman, Raj Kumar Tripathi secretary, Navraj Chhatakuli joint secretary and Ramesh Acharya treasurer of the committee.

Central member of the CPN-UML Rajendra Prasad Pandey MP inaugurated the conference presided over by ex-president of the Union Subhas Khatiwada.

Ex-MP Gangalal Tuladhar, secretary of the CPN-UML Dhading Guru Prasad Burlakoti and Dhading DDC president Khem Prasad Lohani also expressed their views at the conference.
