Kathmandu, June 29 : Afro-Asian People’s Solidarity Committee Nepal hosted a talk programme on solidarity with the Korean people for peaceful reunification here today.
Former prime minister Krishna Prasad Bhattarai who was the chief guest on the occasion said that the reunification of the two Korea was very important and world peace was possible only through it.
Former National Assembly chairman Beni Bahadur Karki wished for speedy reunification of the two Koreas.
Executive chairman of committee and deputy leader of the main opposition party in the Parliament Khadga Prasad Oli, speaking from the chair, said that the recent summit has raised hope for the peaceful reunification of the divided korea after long time.
Ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Thae Jong said efforts would be made to put into practice the agreement reached in the summit between two Koreas.
President of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe said that reunification should take place peacefully without any external intervention.
CPN-ML president Sahana Pradhan said that the reunification of two Korea was important for the whole world.
President of Rastriya Janamorcha and MP Chitra Bahadur K.C. said that no one could check the wishes and aspirations for reunification of the people of Korea.
President of Samyukta Janamorcha Amik Sherchan wished for speedy reunification of the two Korea.
President of Nepal-Korea Friendship Association Prof. Manik Lal Shrestha and organising committee member Laxman Bahadur K.C. elucidated the objectives of the programme.
