Bhaktapur, June 22: President of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) Narayan Man Bijukchhe, MP, has said that private publications of different institutions and organisations have special significance in this expanding age of information technology (IT).
MP Bijukchhe was addressing the concluding function of a three-day publication workshop seminar organised under the joint auspices of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber Support Programme of the GTZ Private Sector Promotion Project here recently.
Giving away certificates to the participants at the programme, Mr Bijukchhe said that progress in any sector was possible only through hard work and making the best use of means and resources and modern technology.
Mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality Prem Suwal said that the municipality was laying stress on development of agriculture and tourism .
Third vice-president of FNCCI Binod Bahadur Shrestha underlined the crucial role of the employees in the long-term development of the chamber of commerce and industries.
Harihar Subedi of the GTZ Private Sector Promotion Project stressed development of skills and knowledge among the employees of the private sector in order to enhance their competitiveness.
President of Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Krishna Prasad Tamrakar alleged the government has neglected the small and cottage industries which were making significant contribution in the national economy. Twenty-eight employees of various district and town chambers of commerce and industry and other commodity organisations took part in the seminar.
