Bhaktapur, June 25: CPN-ML president Sahana Pradhan, inaugurating the second district level conference of Nepal Intellectuals Council here yesterday, noted that no one can become an intellectual without a sense of patriotism.

She said that if any party or leader works against the sovereignty of the country, intellectuals should exert moral pressure on the leader.

Central president of the council and National Assembly member Dr. Ramman Shrestha said that the council had split as the CPN-UML was trying to monopolise it.

Convenor of the Nepal Intellectuals Council second district level conference organising committee Durga Mohan Shrestha presided.
